Vinchin supports agentless backup for Sangfor HCI and Sangfor SCP and you can use the backup to restore Sangfor VM or perform V2V migration.
Installation & Configuration
You can get the installation package on the download page and then install it on a virtual machine or physical machine.
After that, upload the license that we send to you in the email.
Add backup storage before creating a backup job.
Host Adding:
Vinchin supports agentless backup for Sangfor SCP and Sangfor HCI backup. You can directly add Sangfor SCP cluster controller to Vinchin but you need to install a plugin on the Sangfor HCI host before adding it
The steps to download and install the plugin can be found in HelpCenter.
Then you can add the Sangfor host with its credentials.
Backup Sangfor VM:
After adding the Sangfor host, you can create a backup task in 4 steps.
- Select the Sangfor VMs you want to backup.
- Choose backup storage.
- Set the backup policy.
- Submit the task.
Restore Sangfor VM:
When you need to restore an Sangfor VM, just select the restore point in the system and create a restore job in 4 steps.
- Select the restore point from Sangfor backup data
- Select the target host
- Select strategies or just skip it
- Submit the job
Except for full VM restore, you can also use it to perform granular restore to quickly extract file from it or instant restore to quickly restart a failed VM.
