Vinchin Backup & Recovery provides agentless volume-level backups of AWS EC2 and Huawei Cloud instances. For instance restore, it offers Full Restore, Granular Restore(file-level) and V2V migration between AWS EC2, Huawei Cloud and on-prem virtualizations.
Also, Vinchin Backup & Recovery provide agentless S3 backup for multiple object storage vendors.

Installation & Configuration
You can get the installation package on the download page and then install it on a virtual machine or physical machine.
After that, upload the license that we send to you in the email.
Add backup storage before creating a backup job.
Host Adding:
Before creating a backup job, you need to first add the cloud platform or add object storage to Vinchin Backup & Recovery and get the object storage licensed for backup. For specific steps, please refer to Help Center.
Backup instance:
After adding the host, you can create a backup task in 4 steps.
- Select the instance you want to backup.
- Choose backup storage.
- Confugure backup strategy. You can setup the backup time schedule, throttling policy, data storage policy, retention policy and some other advanced options.
- Submit the task.
Restore instance:
When you need to restore a instance, just select the restore point in the system and create a restore job in 4 steps.
- Select the restore point
- Select the restore destination
- Configure strategies or just skip it
- Submit the job
