Vinchin Backup & Recovery provides agentless volume-level backups of Huawei ECS.
Installation & Configuration
You can get the installation package on the download page and then install it on a virtual machine or physical machine.
After that, upload the license that we send to you in the email.
Add backup storage before creating a backup job.
Before creating a backup job, you need to first connect the Huawei cloud platform to Vinchin.
Backup ECS Instance:
After adding the Huawei cloud platform, you can create a backup job in 4 steps.
- Select the ECS instance you want to backup.
- Select backup storage.
- Configure backup strategies.
- Submit the job.
Restore ECS Instance:
When you need to restore a ECS instance, just select the restore point in the system and create a restore job in 4 steps.
- Select a target ECS Instance restore point under the Huawei cloud platform.
- Select a target cloud platform you wish to run the restored Instances.
- Configure strategies or just skip it
- Submit the job
In addition to restore fully functional ECS instances by using the in-cloud snapshot or off-cloud backup data, you can also use it to perform granular restore to quickly extract file from it.
