Vinchin Backup & Recovery provide agentless S3 backup for multiple object storage vendors.
Installation & Configuration
You can get the installation package on the download page and then install it on a virtual machine or physical machine.
After that, upload the license that we send to you in the email.
Add backup storage before creating a backup job.
Before creating a S3 backup job, you need to first add the Object Storage to Vinchin Backup & Recovery and get the object storage licensed for backup. Please refer to Object Storage for more information.
Create S3 Backup Job:
After configuration, you can create a backup task in 4 steps.
- Select a target Object Storage for this backup job.
- Select a backup node and target storage.
- Configure backup strategies.
- Submit the job.
S3 Restore:
When you need to restore files from S3 backup, just select the restore point in the system and create a restore job in 4 steps.
- Select the target object storage and a desired restore point.
- Specify the destination for the selected files/folders to be restored to File Server，NAS Server or Object Storage.
- Configure strategies or just skip it
- Submit the job
