Vinchin Backup & Recovery provides agent-based application-level database backup and restore functionalities for Oracle, MS SQL Server, MySQL, Maria DB, and PostgreSQL databases.
Installation & Configuration
You can get the installation package on the download page and then install it on a virtual machine or physical machine.
After that, upload the license that we send to you in the email.
Add backup storage before creating a backup job.
Database Adding
To get your databases backed up, you'll have to install a lightweight backup agent on each of your database server, and connect the agent to Vinchin Backup & Recovery, then you'll be able to configure the database application settings and perform database backup and restore.
Create Database Backup Job
There are 4 steps to create a backup job for your databases.
- Select database instance you need to back up.
- Specify target backup destination.
- Configure backup strategy. You can setup the backup time schedule, throttling policy, data storage policy, retention policy and some other advanced options.
- Submit the job.
Database Restore:
There are 4 steps to restore database from database backup restore points:
- Select the restore point
- Select the restore destination
- Configure strategies or just skip it
- Submit the job
