Vinchin is one of the easiest solution to migrate on-premise VM to public cloud. You can easily migrate 15+ kinds of VMs to AWS and Huawei Cloud according to your needs. The general process includes backing up the on-premise VM and then directly restore it on the public cloud.
Supported Platform:
Vinchin currently supports V2C migration for VMware vSphere, Hyper-V, Proxmox, oVirt, OLVM, RHV, Citrix Hypervisor (XenServer), XCP-ng, ZStack, OpenStack, Sangfor HCI, H3C CAS/UIS, Huawei FusionCompute, AWS EC2, Huawei ECS, etc.
Installation & Configuration
You can get the installation package on the download page and then install it on a virtual machine or physical machine.
After that, upload the license that we send to you in the email.
Add backup storage before creating a migration job.
Host Adding:
You need to add both platforms to the backup system for later migration.
You can add the on-premise host and the cloud platform with their credentials. Some of the virtualization platforms requires Vinchin plugin installed on them. You can refer to our HelpCenter.
Backup the on-premise VM:
First, you need to backup the source on-premise VM in 4 steps.
