Vinchin is one of the easiest solution to migrate cloud instance. You can easily migrate cloud instance between AWS and Huawei Cloud according to your needs. The general process includes backing up the source instance and then directly restore it on the target public cloud.
Supported Platform:
Vinchin currently supports C2C migration for AWS EC2 instance and Huawei ECS instance.
Installation & Configuration
You can get the installation package on the download page and then install it on a virtual machine or physical machine.
After that, upload the license that we send to you in the email.
Add backup storage before creating a migration job.
Host Adding:
You need to add both cloud platforms to the backup system directly with their credentials for later migration.
Backup the source VM:
First, you need to backup the source cloud instance in 4 steps.
- Select the instance you want to backup.
- Choose backup storage.
- Set the backup policy.
- Submit the task.
Restore the source VM to the target platform:
Then you can use the backup data to migrate the instance to target cloud platform.
- Select the created backup data
- Select the target host
- Select strategies or just skip it
- Submit the job
