Vinchin is one of the easiest solution to migrate full machine. It can help you easily perform V2V, V2C, and C2V migration. You can easily migrate 15+ kinds of virtual machines and 2 kinds of cloud instance according to your needs. The general process includes backing up the source machine and then directly restore it on the target platform.

Supported Platform:

Vinchin currently supports full machine migration for VMware vSphere, Hyper-V, Proxmox, oVirt, OLVM, RHV, Citrix Hypervisor (XenServer), XCP-ng, ZStack, OpenStack, Sangfor HCI, H3C CAS/UIS, Huawei FusionCompute, AWS EC2, Huawei ECS, etc.

Installation & Configuration

You can get the installation package on the download page and then install it on a virtual machine or physical machine.

After that, upload the license that we send to you in the email.

Add backup storage before creating a migration job.

Host Adding:

You need to add both platforms to the backup system for later migration.

You can add the VM’s host and public cloud platform with their credentials. Some of the virtualization platforms requires Vinchin plugin installed on them. You can refer to our HelpCenter.

Backup the source machine:

First, you need to backup the source machine in 4 steps.

Select the source VM you want to backup.
Choose backup storage.
Set the backup policy.
Submit the task.

Restore the source machine to the target platform:

Then you can use the backup data to migrate the machine to target platform.

Select the created backup data
Select the target host
Select strategies or just skip it
Submit the job
