La Auditoría General de la Nación (AGN) of Argentina, established in 1992 and given constitutional status in 1994, is an autonomous body that assists the National Congress in external control of the public sector. It aims to promote efficient use of public resources and improve state functions through ex-post audits on various state entities and organizations. The AGN values independence, objectivity, and professionalism, and its audit reports propose improvements for state activities.
