Lafarge Group, one of the Fortune 500 companies, was established in 1833 in France, is the leading global construction materials and solutions company produce cement, aggregates and ready-mix concrete. It entered in China in 1994 and has over 16,000 Chinese employees so far.

Lafarge Chengdu IT infrastructure consists of a VMware vSphere cluster with 8 VMware ESXi 6.0 hosts and over 50 VMs. And connects to 2 EMC storage appliances via a fiber optic switch. The VMs run core applications, including ERP system, OA system, website, Microsoft SQL, file servers and some other critical businesses. All the VM data size is no less than 20TB and are all stored in EMC appliance with Monthly growth is about 100GB.

“We use VMware VMs to run our critical business including our daily operations and processes as well as our website that provides customers with up to date information.
