E.Leclerc founded on 1 January 1948 by Édouard Leclerc, is a French cooperative society and hypermarket chain, headquartered in Ivry-sur-Seine. As of 2012, E.Leclerc has more than 500 locations in France and 114 stores outside of the country.
E.Leclerc's business involves at least a dozen industries, with hundreds of locations in France and even Europe, with at least tens of thousands of customers every day. "Our mission is to ensure that these locations operate smoothly without compromising our customers' shopping experience, so no interruptions or downtime is particularly important for us. But it's incredible that we were unable to resume business quickly and even couldn't clearly know if our backups are available after the backup is completed with a legacy backup solution, which greatly affected our business continuity.
