Flexible Backup Strategies

Besides NAS backup via NFS or CIFS Protocol for high efficiency, Vinchin Backup & Recovery also provides many useful backup strategies for you. You can set up a scheduled NAS backup job like daily, weekly, or monthly backup at a specific time in a day. A good combination of full backup, incremental backup, and differential backup can save time and storage during the process.

Massive Small-Size File Backup

Vinchin Backup & Recovery will scan a specific amount of files on a NAS device, and store them in a temporary cache repository for transfer. For massive small-size files, the backup system will automatically merge them before data transfer to reduce network interaction, as well as improve the efficiency of backup.

Double Encryption

Vinchin Backup & Recovery will use two encryption techniques for backup data protection. During data transmission, SSL encryption technique will be used for data transmission channel encryption. After backup data is transmitted to backup system, it will be encrypted with AES-256 encryption standard before being written into the storage.

Ransomware Protection for Backups

There is still further protection for your NAS share in Vinchin Backup & Recovery. Ransomware is wild on the Internet but Vinchin is good at defending against it. Vinchin anti-ransomware system will verify the validity of data all the time and only Vinchin applications can modify the backup data so your NAS will be free from ransomware.
