1. What is a VMX file?  

VMX file is the configuration file of the virtual machine system. Note: this file cannot be found after VMware Workstation is installed. This file will appear only after you have established a virtual machine in VMware workstation. This file is used to record the configuration of your virtual machine, such as how much memory, what type of hard disk, etc.  

Vmdk is a virtual disk file.

2. VMX file found

1) Display the file suffix first. Open tools - Folder Options - View - extension

2) Start the virtual machine and view the location of the configuration file

3) Go to the corresponding location of the computer and copy the. VMX file and all. Vmdk files

4) Import to a new computer

Open the virtual machine of the new computer and select the open virtual machine

Select "open virtual machine", and you will be prompted to select a. VMX file. Find the *. VMX we copied back, open it, and then you will be prompted to select a. Vmdk file. Just do it. After that, we click "start virtual machine".

1) Open the virtual machine and select fastdfs.vmx
